The Day I Lost Myself to Brooklyn Flea

I was a Brooklyn Flea virgin. I had never stepped foot inside this vintage mecca until last Saturday. I dragged my legs underneath the blazing sun, dripping wet from sweat to come to this god forsaken place... and I was rewarded by piles and piles of beautiful shiny things. I will never forget it and I hope Brooklyn Flea and I do it again and again and again.

I was completely mesmerized by that question mark pin. It is just so unique and amazing, but the price on it was a little too high. Still, I regret not buying it. I don't know where else I could have found a pin like that and I have always had a thing for question marks. There is this amazing painting in the Fort Worth Modern that is just of one huge question mark. It's so weirdly simple but uncomfortably relatable.

I ended up going home with the jaguar pin. It is made of different pieces so all of it bends. It's pretty amazing, I have to say. Part of me wants to take it to a jeweler and see if they can make it into a bracelet, because how sick would that be? The seller said that there was a bracelet like it, but she sold it. Ugh! Of course.
I have to go back.

Grown-ups are boring.

Thanks for J.Bo for taking these pictures. <3

Ever since I was a kid, I've had an obsession with stuffed animals. It was definitely out of control. I would force my mom to go to garage sales where I could buy other collectible Beanie Babies. I have a collection of crustacean stuffed animals. I have more than 15 Uglydolls. That doesn't even begin to describe the extent of my obsession! But I am proud of the strange family I have acquired.

Nevertheless, you can guess I had a heyday when I went to F.A.O. Schwarz. I especially adored the Noah's Ark. Would this not be an amazing purse idea?! It had a handle on the top, which I figured was meant for transporting it from place to place since it's so massive. I have a pug purse that an ex-boyfriend bought for me. And MK has her cat purse. I want a Noah's Ark purse.

Ruffle Shuffle.

Last Saturday I went to this amazing art / music / free booze fiesta at Milk Studios in Chelsea one may have heard others talking about... The Creator's Project. It was the perfect place to take some spacey pictures.

Tons of the installations focused on lighting. The lightbulb installation was definitely my favorite. It was fun playing around with it since my skirt is just a big explosion of sheer pinkness. I'm glad I got the chance to wear it out. I was especially taken by Spike Jonze's new short, "I'm Here." It truly reminded me of my previous relationship(s) and I'm sure that anyone else could relate as well. I love his work, especially his films where he collaborated with Charlie Kaufman. My goal was to meet him in person, but he wasn't there. It'll happen someday.
