I was a Brooklyn Flea virgin. I had never stepped foot inside this vintage mecca until last Saturday. I dragged my legs underneath the blazing sun, dripping wet from sweat to come to this god forsaken place... and I was rewarded by piles and piles of beautiful shiny things. I will never forget it and I hope Brooklyn Flea and I do it again and again and again.
I was completely mesmerized by that question mark pin. It is just so unique and amazing, but the price on it was a little too high. Still, I regret not buying it. I don't know where else I could have found a pin like that and I have always had a thing for question marks. There is this amazing painting in the Fort Worth Modern that is just of one huge question mark. It's so weirdly simple but uncomfortably relatable.
I ended up going home with the jaguar pin. It is made of different pieces so all of it bends. It's pretty amazing, I have to say. Part of me wants to take it to a jeweler and see if they can make it into a bracelet, because how sick would that be? The seller said that there was a bracelet like it, but she sold it. Ugh! Of course.
I have to go back.
x,
Frances
